Online growable jewellery “Add to Cart Jewellery” project
The starting point of designing was the growth structure of forms occuring in nature, that is, the way nature creates forms. The CareME project is a jewellery designing system in which the customer can change the shape of a jewel in a computer game as if it were a real organic entity that could grow and react to the varying effects of the environment. The environment here, of course, is the virtual space, but similarly to real live plants it is possible to “water” the jewel and “rotate it toward the sun”, thus controlling the growth. The goal is to create the most exciting form. At the end of the preset, limited game time, the customers can buy and wear the unique and unrepeatable, organic, 3D printed jewellery.
