Air driven educational demonstration tool |”Be STEAM!” project
The MISSILE is an air driven toy that moves on a set track. Used for demonstration purposes in visual education, technology and lifestyle courses, it aims to develop manual skills, three dimensional thinking, aesthetic sense, problem-solving attitudes, creativity, abstraction ability and intention to collaborate.
After learning about the basic aerodynamic concepts and doing the geometric design, the students create the object, using the least possible material. They produce the object from the flat shape with folding, adding functional nodes and using unique creative solutions. The winner is the team whose missile flies to the farthest in the shortest time.
