Chemical and mechanically destroyed concrete surfaces | “Concrete and Friends” project
In this series of experiment the cast and the already solidified concrete surface was manipulated with various chemical and mechanical interventions. In the mechanical experiments no time limit was set; when using chemicals, the time length of the reaction ended when one unit of liquid was absorbed. In the course of the chemical precipitation or crystallization in some cases fine plastic values have been created. The result of the experiment is that controlled destructions can be used as graphical surface treatments. The forty concrete blocks serve as patterns for comparing the results.
